"Colourful, abstract figures celebrating personality and movement."

Before choosing to pursue a career in craft, I spent almost a decade working in hospitality at a variety of levels including as a cocktail bartender, hotel receptionist and even a wedding and event coordinator. From this work, I have encountered endless different personalities and on a day-to-day basis, would handle situations that I would not have even thought possible the day prior. Finally, I’m choosing to focus on developing my skills to become a proficient and successful artist and will be undertaking a Craft & Materials Practices BA Hons at the Arts University Plymouth in September 2023.

My love for ceramics wholeheartedly stems from my brilliant mum (Jax Williams). As she is a potter with a successful interactive studio in North Devon, I was lucky enough to start learning to throw and hand build with clay from the age of 15. Although there were stages of my teen years where I would opt to rebel against following in my mum’s footsteps, I couldn’t deny that I really did love getting to be creative and pottery has always been an accessible way for me to explore artistic techniques.
