"In my work I’m exploring the inter-connectedness of all things."

I am a part-time potter currently splitting my pottery time between raku, using my wood fired, hand-built kiln and slip decorated earthenware. This meets my need to express more figurative motifs by slip decorating and abstracts using the raku process.

I fell in love with throwing pots on the wheel and spent a lot of my spare time developing these skills before really starting to explore decorating. For me, a large part of the process is the throwing although increasingly, this is the least amount of time I spend producing each pot.

In my work I’m exploring the inter-connectedness of all things, a theme which comes from my day job as a psychotherapist in the NHS. I’m heavily influenced by what’s around me and am lucky enough to have Devon to provide the source.
