"Having a love of different forms and texture that nature presents had given me inspiration to form my work"

Most of my inspiration is gathered visually from walks on Dartmoor, where I live, and the beautiful coastal regions of Devon and Cornwall.
Having a love of different forms and texture that nature presents had given me inspiration to form my work, whilst allowing the viewer to make their own interpretation.
Working with clay takes me on a journey: the tactility, emotional response and what emerges from it always leaves me with a thirst for more.
My pieces are either thrown on a wheel, slab formed or press moulded. Texture plays a huge part in my work and the use of various combinations of oxides and glazed heightens the different surfaces.
