"My work is inspired by the natural world."
| I have always found joy in the natural world. Each of my bird sculptures is life-size and individually modelled in clay of differing texture and inherent colour. I then enhance the surface of the birds’ characteristic form with oxides and stains. Finally, these recognisable colours are enriched by raku firing. I have a design background from architectural studies in the USA, an education degree in art and design, and a love for the diversity of bird-life around my home |
