"My hope is that my pots add a little joy to everyday routines."
I work from my home studio in Chacewater, and enjoy making domestic ware for everyday use.
I use local stoneware from St Agnes, and my work is primarily wheelthrown. I have conciously chosen to use an electric kiln, in order to limit my environmental impact, and I use a sustainable energy supplier.
I like working with slip as it brings a wide range of possibilities for surface decoration, and it lends a freedom to my work which I enjoy.
My inspiration comes from my garden and the Cornish countryside, and contemplating ways of sharing food and daily rituals with my friends and family. My hope is that my pots add a little joy to everyday routines.
