"Passion For The Ocean, Inspired By Coastal Living"

I am an artist based at my home studio in Devon, creating with a passion for the ocean and inspired by coastal living. I am influenced by the beautiful beaches and coastline and my work as a volunteer for the UK’s first National Marine Park at Plymouth Sound. With a commitment to sustainable practice, I seek to create compelling work primarily in ceramics but also in mixed media collage.

My ceramic wall vases are made using white stoneware and I use stoneware paper clay for my framed ceramic fish. However, I am researching and developing a new low fire white earthenware paper clay and low fire glazes as I look to reduce firing schedules and temperatures.

My project titled ‘The Good Blue News Art Project’ seeks to celebrate and inspire by sharing some of the many ‘good ocean news’ stories emerging out of the brilliant work going on in the field of marine conservation at the Marine Park in the UK and Marine Reserves across the world.

My work is shown at several galleries in Devon and I am a member of the Westcountry Potters’ Association, Devon Artist Network, South Hams Arts Forum, Salcombe Art Club and Totnes Potters.
