Greenbank Pottery – Tamara Evans Braun

Single fired stoneware inspired by nature and sustainability

A balance of chaotic calm, my pottery is designed to be used day to day and bring people joy. My studio is in my garden and is built from scrap materials. My stoneware pots are thrown on a kick-wheel (pedal powered) using water collected from my roof. They are raw glazed and single fired in an electric kiln to reduce my carbon footprint and keep the creative process flowing.

I work with mid range glazes in earthy, natural colours, blues and greens and browns. I embrace and encourage unpredictability in my glazing, working with glazes that vary depending on thickness. I also often leave patches of bare clay, enjoying the tactile contrast of clay and different glazes.

I offer 1-1 or 1-2 throwing sessions as well as occasional themed workshops. Visits possible by appointment.
