"inspiration from mythology, Iconography, Devon land and seascapes, and travels around the Mediterranean and North Africa"

My varied background includes many years of interiors-led retail a decade of dealing Europe-wide in antique objects and textiles, and latterly as a psychotherapist, using creativity and metaphor.

These eclectic influences are reflected in my ceramics work as well as the inspiration I draw from mythology, iconography, Devon land and seascapes and from further afield, such as travels in the Mediterranean and North Africa.

I hand-build with a variety of techniques using stoneware, or porcelain paper-clay for finer items, prefer matte tactile surface finishes. I occasionally use hand-dug local wild-clay as a slip decoration, and fire in an electric kiln.

Working from my estuary-side studio in the South Devon village of Shaldon, I create abstract sculptural figurative pieces, decorative objects and vessels, and sell via galleries exhibitions and occasional events
