Maggie Curtis

I produce Architectural Ceramics to order, making original and reproductions for private and public clients. The pieces for private commissions are varied, ranging from ornamental ridge tiles to plaques and gate post finials. I take great care when interviewing my clients to ensure not only that the piece fits technically, but also that the 3-D image, be it abstract or figurative, fits the situation exactly. I enjoy the challenge of unusual projects: ornamental airbricks for a stately home, a reproduction of the Exeter Horseman ridge tile, the commemorative plaque for the Appledore railway, a gas flu outlet cover and a plaque for the Duchy of Cornwall’s development in South Devon, Roger the Hereford Bull, gate finials for a Charles Voysey house and most recently the design for a Port Memorial are amongst my portfolio. Visitors are welcome by appointment.
