"Inspired by the environment in which I live and work"

My work is both porcelain and bone china and concentrates on exploiting the translucent qualities both these materials possess.
My current work is very much inspired by the environment in which I live and work. Very often I use nature itself that I collect on exploring the countryside within the pieces. Other pieces are informed by the visual impact of my surroundings.
The more sculptural work is influenced by nests found in nature which when lit show the fragile qualities of these structures. Textiles feature in these sculptures to express how we as human being nature and swaddle our young.
