She is the author of ‘Pottery for Beginners’ and ‘The Essential Pottery Notebook’. Kara teaches in-person, online via her YouTube channel and her Patreon – Pottery Club.
‘My pottery is deeply rooted in the landscapes of my childhood—the rugged, windswept beaches of the Devon coast. Growing up, I spent my days among the ever-changing tides, collecting textures and colours from places like Bantham, Bigbury, and Mothercombe. These elements continue to influence my work, shaping the textures and hues I use to evoke the peacefulness and beauty of those coastal moments. Each of my pieces is designed to transport you to your favourite stretch of coastline, to a time when you felt at ease beside the water
