“Find inspiration by what you see in nature – look, see and observe and you will find your inner creative self.”
Exploring the use of slip and oxide decorations on Stoneware forms. Searching for Wild Clays and Minerals on my walks I enjoy experimenting with ways to use them in Ceramics. The chemical reactions of different wild clays create texture and magic to the final piece.
Two different styles of work – Silver Birch vessels, the trees themselves have incredible depth and textures which are emphasized by the natural contrasting colours and a series of Landscapes and Seascapes – inspired by the natural forms, shapes and contours of nature. Ceramics are a wonderful medium to work with producing incredible depth and form and endless diversity.
