Abigail North

I originally trained in ceramics in London and Devon, and now work from my own studio on the edge of Dartmoor. I make finely thrown vessels decorated by hand using a variety of techniques, with an emphasis on achieving elegant forms. I throw mainly with stoneware and porcelain, but occasionally earthenware too, as I love the different throwing characteristics and decorative possibilities. All pieces are fired in an electric kiln.

Work is stocked by a number of galleries in Devon and further afield.

I also make high fired handmade tiles decorated with a large range of beautiful glazes, and have recently completed two commissioned projects in London.
