I work is generally thrown earthenware, using slips and stains for underglaze decoration in my electric kiln.
I love the versatility of clay and that it is such a very basic raw material. My work is mostly domestic ware but I also make terracotta ‘jars of clay’, which are thrown and then cut into. These represent our human frailty, that we are made from the dust of the ground and so easily broken.
I sell at The Green Door Emporium, Tiverton and at craft shows.
