"Experimenting with new shapes means the majority of my pieces are one offs"

The opportunity to explore new techniques and try new things are endless in ceramics and this is what really excites, and frequently distracts, me! I work mainly in stoneware using the potter’s wheel to make predominately tableware. My love of experimenting with new shapes means the majority of my pieces are one offs or small batch.
With all the different techniques and materials to explore in ceramics I am always being drawn in several directions at once, be it trying my hand at hand building (thanks to lockdowns!) or new glazing techniques. I have discovered a love for wood firing and the closeness it brings me to the final outcome of my pots.
I am currently interested in exploring mix media within ceramics, so have a range of ceramics that include driftwood handles or handmade lamp shades to compliment ceramic bases.
