Deborah McPeake

I live in Devon by the sea and I’m a Graphic Designer. I started learning pottery about 18 months ago by doing a short course at our local college and then joining The Shed at Chelston, Torquay. I’ve also had some invaluable lessons with Donna at Dart Pottery. I fell totally in love with it and now have a home studio where I throw, trim and glaze pots. I still attend twice weekly pottery classes and I use the kilns to bisque fire my stoneware pots and glaze fire. I am developing a ‘style’ but in truth I just like to go with ‘instinct and chance’ and I don’t want to become a production line! If you buy from me know that my hands have taken a lump of clay and many hours of throwing, trimming, choosing colours and firing have gone into it, everything is made with love for my craft.
