"wildlife sculptures and plaques"

My work is mainly wildlife sculptures and plaques. My inspiration came from growing up on an isolated farm on Exmoor surrounded by its rugged beauty, Stags, foxes, hares etc. I try to capture their unique character, emotions and feelings. Working in stoneware and earthenware, I enjoy both building, and carving, forming texture and also creating the subtle colours drawn from the natural world, both with glazes and oxides. I attended university where I gained a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art, specialist subject Sculpture, however in recent years my interest in ceramics has grown, this and needle felting are now my main mediums.
