Liz Challis
"a leisure potter making slab or coiled handbuilt stoneware ceramics"
Trained as a graphic designer, Liz lived and worked in London and Amsterdam before moving to rural Devon. Now, amongst many other activities, Liz is a leisure potter making slab or coiled handbuilt stoneware ceramics, using cobalt or chun glazes fired to 1200 in an electric kiln. Whilst not having been able to produce much of late due to other commitments she hopes to return to her Piggery Pottery soon.
Liz’s ceramics are slab or coil-built in smooth or grogged clay, glazed in chun or cobalt glazes and fired to 1220 degrees celsius in an electric kiln.
