Bill Moore - Moore Pottery - Clayability
About Bill Moore
Bill has been a full time professional potter for over 30 years, exhibiting and selling his work nationally and internationally. He is particularly recognised for his thrown domestic stoneware and Raku – although he occasionally makes playful animal sculptures too!
After studying ceramics at UWE Bristol Bill was apprentice to a production thrower in the South of France before setting up his own pottery in North Somerset.
About Clayability
Bill set up Clayabilty 20 years ago to share his skill and passion for pottery with others. Since then thousands of students have attended courses and classes – many of them going on to set up their own studios or even become professional makers. One Dr James Greenwood even made it on to the first series of the Great British Throwdown!
Bill feels very privileged to have been a part of so many journeys into ceramics and continues to be inspired by the creativity of everyone he meets through his teaching.
For 18 years Clayability was based at The Barley Wood Walled Garden in Wrington, in 2025 Clayability relocated down the road to The Pottery at Elm Farm.
