"Hand-built figurative pieces celebrating human complexity and uniqueness."

I have always been drawn to people and the human form. Figure drawing came naturally in childhood and eventually led me to clay as a medium, a discovery that shaped my artistic direction. While studying at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, I specialised in hand built figurative ceramics.

Each piece is individually crafted in my Somerset–Dorset studio using traditional coiling and clay modelling techniques, then finished with oxides and underglazes to create depth and character. Clay’s earthy origins mirror how people are shaped by their environments, and my work explores the convergence of natural, cultural, and manufactured influences on individual identity.

Every figure carries its own narrative, celebrating human complexity and uniqueness. I am inspired by the ways history, society, culture, and intimate relationships mould people, and much of my work draws on depictions of women in art, literature, folklore, and history across the ages.
