Josemarie Nyagah
Josemarie Nyagah is a Kenyan photographer, ceramicist, and painter whose multidisciplinary practice explores storytelling as a tool for shifting perception and sparking inclusive transformation. With a BA in Peace and Conflict Resolution and an Honours in Cinematography, she works across portraiture, documentary, landscape, and self-expressive imagery and her photographs have been exhibited in galleries across the Netherlands, South Africa, and Italy.
Her ceramics practice began with wheel throwing in Nairobi and deepened through a recent residency with South African ceramicist John Bauer. Through techniques like Nerikomi, Josemarie’s practice explores ways to weave storytelling in clay through intuition, memory and pattern.
