I try to make pieces that can be both functional and attractive. I am currently mainly working with porcelain. This can be both finicky & temperamental at every stage in the process but I love the whiteness and smoothness of this clay body. Occasionally I will take advantage of the different properties of white or buff stoneware. A combination of glazes, oxides and stains is used to enhance the appearance of the finished work
