Seren Birtles, Apprentice at Ridge Pottery, will be starting up Jennie’s weekly pottery classes again this January.
With input from Douglas and Jennie, Seren will guide students through a 10 week course, giving a comprehensive overview of the full making process. These sessions will explore a range of hand building and throwing techniques with one-to-one tuition tailored for beginners and more experienced potters alike.
Students will use a unique, local clay that is processed at the pottery; and finished work will be once-fired in a wood kiln.
Classes begin on the 21st of January, with three classes running every Tuesday for a maximum of 8 students per class.
