"My work very much reflects a lifelong passion and interest in plants and wildlife"
I’ve been potting and making professionally for thirty years or so and I live and work by the Dart in Dartmoor national park. My work very much reflects a lifelong passion and interest in plants and wildlife so I am in an ideal location to realise this. The plant inspired forms I’m currently making for gardens are hand built using multiple techniques and innovations using crank clay – the surfaces are manipulated and textured and are treated with layers of slips, oxide washes and a little glaze and fired to 1220C. I show my work in galleries and sculpture gardens and take part in Devon Open Studios.
Studio
I invite those interested to visit me at my garden studio where they can see the whole range of work especially those pieces sited amongst the planting around the garden.
